Terms & Conditions
age
Cars / Vans: Drivers must be 21 or over and under 75. Minibuses: Drivers must be 25 or over and under 75. Special conditions apply to hirers under 25.
licences
Hirer must have held a full licence for a minimum of one year with entitlement to drive class of vehicle required.
NB: Anyone having passed their driving test or renewed their driving licence after 1st January 1997 may not have the correct entitlement listed. If in doubt please ring 01756 792 911 with licence details for advice.
endorsements
Drivers with any endorsements on their licence must check with office when booking.
overseas hirers
Overseas hirers must be over 25 and have held a full licence for a minimum of two years.
deposits
£100 fuel deposit for all cars, £100 fuel deposit for all vans and £150 fuel deposit for the 7.5T wagon at the time of hire (difference between fuel used and deposit refunded on return).
damage liability
the hirer is responsible for the first £300 of any damage to any car and £550 of any damage to any minibus or 7.5T wagon. The hirer remains responsible for punctures and negligent damage (e.g. kerbed wheels or tyres, damage to upholstery, cigarette burns, damage to aerials and mirrors etc.)
The hirer is responsible for any mechanical repairs caused by failure to heed warning lights and gauges.
Damage to any vehicle above windscreen height is the responsibility of the hirer.
